Trac is a mobile and transit information platform that displays real-time shuttle and bus location data, estimated arrival times, and route information to riders. The App allows users to view live shuttle locations and schedules for participating transportation providers, such as universities, corporate campuses, or transit agencies.
Together, the Trac App, the Trac Driver application, and Trac Admin application form part of the Trac software platform operated by Trac Software Solutions Inc., which provides real-time shuttle tracking, scheduling, and route management services to participating organizations and their riders.
These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Trac regarding your use of the App and supersede all prior understandings. You may not assign these Terms without our consent.

By downloading or using Trac (the “App”), provided by Trac Software Solutions Inc. (“Trac,” “we,” “us,” “our”), you agree to these Terms and Conditions (the “Terms”). If you do not agree, you must stop using the App. Your continued use of the App confirms that you accept these Terms and will abide by them.
We grant you a limited, nonexclusive, nontransferable, and revocable license to use the App for your personal, noncommercial use. This license does not permit you to distribute, sell, reverse engineer, or modify any part of the App except as allowed by law. All rights not expressly granted are reserved by Trac. Users under the age of 18 should only use the App under the supervision of a parent or guardian.
You may use the App only for its intended purpose of viewing shuttle routes, stops, and arrival information. You agree not to misuse the App or attempt to interfere with its operation, including by attempting to bypass security or access controls, disrupting servers or networks, or using automated means to send an unreasonable volume of requests. If we believe you have breached these Terms or misused the App, we may suspend or terminate your access at our discretion with or without notice. Trac is a software provider and does not operate, schedule, or control any transportation services. The timing and operation of shuttle services are the responsibility of participating transportation providers.
The App displays live bus locations, estimated arrival times, maps, and related information for convenience. While we aim for accuracy and reliability, the information is provided “as is” and “as available” and can be delayed, incomplete, or inaccurate due to factors such as GPS conditions, network connectivity, driver behaviour, device performance, or thirdparty data. You should use your own judgment when planning travel and understand that actual arrival times and availability can differ from what appears in the App. The App is designed for supported regions of Ontario, Canada, and may not function or provide relevant data elsewhere. Trac makes no guarantee of uninterrupted uptime but strives to maintain service availability in accordance with reasonable commercial standards.
The App is not a safetyoflife or emergency service and must not be relied upon for timecritical or emergency communications. If you need emergency assistance, use official emergency channels.
The App relies on trusted third parties for essential functions. In particular, we use Firebase (Google) for backend and diagnostics, Mapbox for map tiles and geospatial features, and Crashlytics for crash reporting. Your use of those services within the App is also subject to their terms and privacy policies. From time to time, the App may provide links to external websites or services, such as transit agency pages or donation processors. These are provided for convenience; we do not control or endorse the content or practices of those sites.
All software, features, text, graphics, and trademarks within the App are owned by Trac or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. You acquire no rights other than the limited license described above. You must not remove or obscure copyright, trademark, or proprietary notices.
Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains what limited information is processed and how we handle it. By using the App, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to the Privacy Policy.
The App is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and noninfringement. We do not warrant uninterrupted service, errorfree operation, or the accuracy or timeliness of any data.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Trac and its officers, employees, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from or related to your use of, or inability to use, the App, including missed transportation, reliance losses, or device damage. In all cases, our total liability for claims related to the App will not exceed the amount, if any, that you paid to use it. Trac strives to comply with applicable data protection and accessibility laws, including the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA), where applicable.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Trac and its affiliates from any claims, losses, liabilities, and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising from your misuse of the App, your violation of these Terms or of law, or your infringement of thirdparty rights.
We may suspend, restrict, or terminate your access to the App at any time for breach, suspected misuse, or security risk. Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately, but provisions intended to survive (including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitations of liability, and indemnity) will continue.
We may update the App and these Terms from time to time. For material changes, we will update the “Last Updated” date and, where practical, provide inapp notice. Your continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, together with the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. You agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Toronto, Ontario.
If any provision is found unenforceable, it will be enforced to the maximum extent permitted and the remainder will remain in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of our rights.
